PARIS.- Presented for the first time in Europe, the STAR WARS Identities exhibition proposes an interactive journey into the world of the saga in a unique location: the Cité du Cinéma. From February 15th to June 30th, 2014, two film sets of approximately 2000 m2, turned into an exhibition location, were opened to the public to reveal more than 200 original pieces from the archives of the Lucas Arts Museum: models, accessories, costumes, sketches all of which constructed the Star Wars world.
For more than 35 years, Luke and Anakin’s adventures, Jedi heroes from a galaxy far, far away, have fascinated the public of the entire world. Truly anchored in the collective culture, the saga profoundly marked the 20th century.
This exclusive and exciting exhibition gives an unusual outlook on the unforgettable characters of Star Wars. Developed and produced by X3 Productions of Montreal in collaboration with Lucasfilm Ltd., it stems from the archives of the Lucas Cultural Arts Museum to explore the sciences of human identity through the characters of the saga. In order to understand the notion of identity, the course of the STAR WARS Identities exhibition is rythmed and divided in 3 major themes: Origins, Influences, Choices through which 10 components of the human identities are explored.
The collection, an interactive and personalised identity quest, as well as a relevant scientific content combine into STAR WARS Identities in order to follow the tragic lives of Luke and Anakin Skywalker, the most famous father and son duo of cinema! Through this exceptional exhibition, the visitors will be able to understand better what makes the Star Wars characters who they are, as well as to explore their own identity with a simple yet profound question:
What forces shape you?
