“Ouka Leele. Unedited “celebrates the artistic maturity of the prestigious photographer

Cadiz (Spain) -The exhibition will be presented this evening in the cloisters of the Provincial Council of Cadiz.

This evening was opened in the  ProvincialCouncil of Cadiz the exhibition Leele Ouka. Unedited, with which the photographer is celebrating her artistic maturity after fifty years of life and three decades of work.

The result of this long and rich history comes Unedited, this afternoon presented herself Barbara Allen-Gil de Viedma Ouka Leele, along with the vice president of the Foundation Diputación Provincial Culture, Ana Mosquera, the deputy director general of Promotion Fine Arts of the Ministry of Culture, Begoña Torres, who produces the show, and curator, Rafael Gordon.

With this exhibition, the renowned photographer – National Photography Prize 2005 – an overview of her career and presents different interpretations of his poetic and visual imagination. Rafael Gordon, producer, film and theater director and close friend of Barbara Allende, has been in charge of selecting among the many files that holds the artist the many images of medium and large format, black and white and color on display.

These snapshots collected portraits, self portraits and scenes that are true visual poems that make up an eclectic exhibition full of references to external worlds (ancient civilizations, mythology, literature) and internal (family, dreams …).

Her photographs are regarded today as icons of their time, as the Commissioner Rafael Gordon. Something that is not surprising in light of the strong integration of life, emotions and aesthetic expression that has always marked the work of the photographer, who has previously exhibited in Diputación de Cádiz.
