Publication of a database on the discovery of the tomb of Tutankhamun
OXFORD – The Griffith Institute in Oxford, which has the letters, diaries and photographs of Howard Carter’s excavation, has completed the creation of a special database with photos and records of archaeologist of 5398 items the tomb of Tutankhamun.
The website is called Tutankhamun: Anatomy of an excavation and is designed by the archaeologist Jaromir Malek, curator of the archive Griffith.
With this database, photos, tabs, maps and diagrams Carter notes the work of conservation and restoration carried out in parts, all now available worldwide should serve to encourage the study.
