HONG KONG.- Ravenel Spring Auctions 2013 will be held at Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong’s Grand Ballroom; and at Fubon National Conference Center, Taipei, on 26 May and from 1 to 2 June respectively, displaying a profusion of exquisite collections from Modern and Contemporary Art, Fine Jewels and Jadeite, and Finest and Rarest Wines.
Selected highlights will be showcased in Taichung (11 – 12 May), and Taipei (18 – 19 May), whereas full collections will also be previewed prior to the auctions (Hong Kong: 24 – 25 May; Taipei: 31 May – 1 Jun).
Lorries Chang, the Chief Executive Officer of Ravenel International Art Group, remarks, “Ravenel Autumn Auctions 2012 concluded beautifully with the second highest yearly total of NTD 1.8 billion, setting three world auction records. The results not only once again confirm the investment value of art, but also testify our clients’ faith in Ravenel as their first choice to consign their treasured collections.
To cater to the uniquely sophisticated collection tastes developed amongst Asian collectors in recent years, Ravenel will continue to present a series of high-calibré auctions in Spring 2013. As usual, our Modern and Contemporary Asian Art Auction in Taipei will showcase prominent works from China, Taiwan, Japan and Korea, in which a single owner sale presenting 26 remarkable works regarding the renowned Taiwanese artist Shiy De-jinn will set to be the accent of the auction. 23 of them are by Shiy himself, whereas the rest belongs to his own collection or his recommendation.
As for Modern and Contemporary Art Auction in Hong Kong, Ravenel will continue to showcase works by masters such as Zao Wou-ki, Sanyu, Cai Guo-Qiang, Chu Teh-chun, Bernard Buffet and so on. Meanwhile in our Fine Jewels and Jadeite Auction, a pair of Square-shaped Fancy Intense Pink Diamond Rings leads other whimsical designs, such as butterfly, kangaroo, rabbit, octopus and starfish, to celebrate the joyous springtime. Finest and Rarest Wines Auction will also present Salon 1982 and 1983, Taitinger Collection and Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Assortment 1991, and more – all are much-anticipated items to the collectors.”
