Bonhams Appoints Camilla Prini as Its Agent in Northern Italy

LONDON.- Camilla Prini has been appointed by Bonhams, the international fine art and antiques auction house, as the company’s Agent for Northern Italy. She will be based in her hometown, Milan, but will cover the whole region, including Bologna, Genova, Verona, Bergamo and Torino. Bonhams have offices in 27 countries on four continents and hold 700 sales a year covering 57 specialist areas of collecting.
Camilla’s professional experience includes work for Galleria Tega, Modern and Contemporary Art in Milan, organising exhibitions at the gallery, selecting works of art and managing relationships with collectors, museums and foundations. She also assisted with the gallery’s presence at Artefiera in Bologna, Miart in Milan and international art fair ArtBasel.
While at Christie’s Valuation Department in Milan, she assisted the department’s director in advising on values across a wide range of art categories and liaised between Italian clients and specialists in London and New York. She lived and worked also in Paris, where she directed a Contemporary Art Gallery in the gallery’s district of Saint Germain.
She is fluent in four languages: English, Italian, German and French.
She collaborated also with the Capri Palace Hotel in Capri, Italy organising for the art collector and hotel’s owner exhibitions and setting up the artist in residence initiative that has been very successful.
Speaking about her appointment she says: “I hope to offer clients in Northern Italy a very professional service that assists them in getting the very best prices for their art and antiques in Bonhams salerooms in London, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Hong Kong, Dubai and Sydney. I will be opening a door to the widest art market in the world.”

Camilla was a pupil at the German School of Milan, finishing with a double German and Italian high school degree. Her further education was at the Universita’ Cattolica Del Sacro Cuore in Milan where she majored with Summa cum Laude.
Besides her work career she has done a great deal of voluntary work with patients at non-profit organization Francesco Vozza at Fatebenefratelli hospital Milan, Italy.
