Morrison Hotel Gallery Premieres the Photography of Julian Lennon
NEW YORK, NY.- The Morrison Hotel Gallery featuring the premiere exhibition and sale of Julian Lennon’s stunning collection of limited edition and hand signed portraiture and landscape photography. This exhibit, entitled Timeless, is curated by one of the most sought after celebrity photographers, Timothy White and sponsored by Lennon’s charity, The White Feather Foundation, Duggal Visual Solutions, Inc. and Canson Infinity Paper.
Lennon developed a love for photography at a very young age and over the years has been perfecting his work. The exhibit not only consist of Lennon’s landscape work, but will takes us into his studio where he recently photographed U2 as they recorded their newest album. In addition, Lennon takes us behind the scenes for a photographic look at the Sean Lennon tour.

“I have always felt that I have observed life, in a different way than others; probably because my life has been very different than most. Music has always been one creative outlet for me, but now I’m happy to add another one too, that being photography.” – Julian Lennon.
Lennon has enjoyed a very accomplished music career. His debut album Valotte was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 1985. In addition, the self-produced title track “Valotte” and “Too Late for Goodbyes” both became top ten hits. His second album, 1986′s The Secret Value of Daydreaming reached number 32 on Billboard Magazine’s album chart and the song “Stick Around” was his first #1 single on the U.S. Album Rock Tracks chart. He recorded the song “Because,” made famous by The Dave Clark Five, in the UK for Clark’s 1986 musical, Time. Lennon also hit number five in Australia with the 1989 single “Now You’re In Heaven,” which also gave him his second #1 hit on the Album Rock Tracks chart in the USA. In 1991, George Harrison played on Lennon’s album Help Yourself but was not directly credited. A song off the album, “Saltwater,” reached number six in the UK and topped the Australian singles charts for four weeks. His much anticipated sixth album, Everything Changes, is complete and will be released in early 2011.

The Morrison Hotel Gallery was founded in 2001 by Peter Blachley, a former record company executive, producer Rich Horowitz, a former independent record store owner, and Henry Diltz, a legendary music photographer. The gallery has since grown to become a major brand in fine art music photography and is respected amongst peers and artists alike.
Lennon has been focusing on ways that we can all make a difference in what has become a rather sensitively-balanced world. The White Feather Foundation embraces environmental and humanitarian issues in conjunction with partners from around the world and works to raise funds for the betterment of all life, and to honor those who have truly made a difference.
Lennon’s photos on display were printed exclusively on Canson Infinity Edition Etching and BFK Rives papers, two museum quality papers heralded for their spectacular quality and hand selected by Julian Lennon for this exhibition. Canson Infinity, crafted in the Canson and Arches mills in France, recently won the prestigious Technical Image Press Association (TIPA) for their Baryta Photographique, selected by TIPA as the best Fine Art Ink Jet Paper of 2010.
