Romantic Fashion Photos by Camilla Akrans
Swedish photographer, Camilla Akrans (Camilla Åkrans), sets out on her career path in 1999, diverting from her original ambition to become an artist. However, she does not completely abandon her artistic beginnings, taking a painter’s approach to photography, as well as drawing on influences from film.
Akrans’ work is a real breath of fresh air, with light, simple and romantic shots in pastel colours. Unlike many photographers who prefer the security and control of a photographic studio, Akrans prefers to shoot outdoors. The Swedish photographer is regularly approached by magazines like Vogue, Numero, Harper’s Bazaar and The New York Style Magazine for their fashion spreads. She has immortalised models such as Leah de Wavrin, Coco Rocha and Caroline Trentini.
After shooting campaigns for Hermès, Neiman Marcus, Tommy Hilfiger, Missoni and Erès, she has recently signed on for projects with Sisley, Bebe and fellow Swedish H&M – Camilla Akrans has proved herself as a veritable star in the world of photography.
She makes the ultimate bombshell come alive in gorgeous photo shoot with Russian model Sasha Pivovarova, where transforms into the ever seductive Jessica Rabbit.
Camilla Akrans is one of the biggest names when the houses of fashion is picking a photographer to shoot ad campaigns. 33 year old Camilla Akrans has done a lot of big ad campaigns and she has also won a the prestige ELLE award as the best photographer 2006.
Camilla’s soft, romantic photos are remarkable. Her shots are light and soft, the wonderful photos are perfect for the lead-up to Valentine’s Day and not only, always in a natural atmosphere in beautiful pastel tones.
